The  APOLLINAIRE QUARTET takes its name from Guillaume Apollinaire, an experiment and famous french poet who was very active at the turn of the last 20th century. He inspired this ensemble in its goal to reveal and revive a repertoire still largely underestimated and deserving of new attention.

Founded in 1994, the quartet dedicates itself primarily to chamber music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries – ( Ravel, Debussy, Villa-Lobos, Koechlin, Jolivet, Gershwin…). It also commissions contemporary works for universal instrumental combinations (Etienne Rolin, Goto, Gubler, Jakubowski, Dulat, Fournier, Gabriele…).
